Matthias

Matthias was a Time Lord. He was a supporter of Romana and became a Lord Cardinal under Valyes and later Lord President.

To begin with he appeared to be strong ally of Romana's, but he quickly showed an independent streak, with his own agenda. He reminded Leela of Braxiatel which was very astute as he had been working with the former Chancellor to be made President.

His presidency was over a world that was decimated and ravaged by economic ruin and disease. [[Braxiatel had manouevered Matthis into the position of President in order to save Romana from having to go down with the sinking ship. At the end of the audio series he was under siege from zombies created by the Free Time Dogma Virus. (BFG: Fractures, Warfare, Appropriation, Mindbomb, Panacea)
