The Charnels were a humanoid race of mercenaries who fought only for money. They inhabited Riften 5, around Vita 15 in the star system 690. The Dalek and Cyberman-aid Lytton was a Charnel. (PROSE: Attack of the Cybermen) Their lifespan was far beyond that of an average Earth human. (PROSE: Mistaken Identity)
