On 20 September, the following important behind-the-scenes events were known to have occurred:
- 1963 - The original cast of Doctor Who — that is, William Hartnell, Carole Ann Ford, William Russell and Jacqueline Hill — met for the first time for a photoshoot. The first ever photographs of Doctor Who were thus taken.
- 2015 - Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman participated in a photo shoot at Abbey Road, where, with the help of two Dalek props, they imitated the famous album cover produced by the Beatles. In costume as the Twelfth Doctor and Clara Oswald, Capaldi struck the same pose as John Lennon though wearing his Doctor's sunglasses while Jenna mimicked Paul McCartney and went in her bare feet.
