I think it would be great to add an image to the infobox for years to get a better reference for events that take place in that year. Skywalker2255 ☎ 15:51, September 28, 2015 (UTC)
- I get what you're suggesting, but there are a couple of issues. First, we don't have a specific infobox for dates and years, partly because we already have the navigation box located where an infobox normally sits on other types of pages. Adding an infobox would create more unwanted white space on many pages. Additionally, most of our date and year pages don't have enough content to support even one image, so it would be difficult to choose what images best represent the pages in question. If you have a specific image in mind for a specific article, you can post it on the article's talk page, and we'll see if it fits. But a general infobox on all the dates/years pages isn't feasible the way most of the pages are now. Shambala108 ☎ 19:15, September 28, 2015 (UTC)
I understand what you are saying. I guess adding a picture to say 5,000,000,000 would be adding a picture of the destruction of Earth. Skywalker2255 ☎ 19:41, September 29, 2015 (UTC)
- It could work, but there would have to be enough text on the page to justify an image. You might want to check out Tardis:Guide to images, which has useful information about how we use images on the wiki. Shambala108 ☎ 20:03, September 29, 2015 (UTC)
