Lotapareen
The Lotapareen were a species of tridactyly reptiles from the planet Lota in the Andromeda Galaxy.
Biology
Lotapareen are not humanoid in form. They have three legs arranged in a tripod, with a slim upright body and three arms. Their heads are oval shaped and they have saucer-like eyes and a stumpy snout. They also have lizard like skin, ranging in colour from grey, to turquoise, to acid yellow. Their third arm protruded from their chests; each arm ended in a hand with three fingers.
Both the Doctor and Donna met Mesanth, a member of the Cult of Shining Darkness during their visit to the Andromeda Galaxy.
History
The Lotapareen evolved from highly communial herbivourous ancestors. This meant that they hated violence and conflict. (TDA: Shining Darkness).
