Talk:The Zygon Inversion (TV story)

The Doctor says "...and I mean that most sincerely", which was a catch phrase of Hughie Green (1920-1997), a UK quiz show host in the 1960's. The Doctor calls Zygon-Clara "Zygella", a refference to Nigella Lawson, who presents cooking shows on UK television. 81.102.208.118talk to me 15:26, November 8, 2015 (UTC)Ian Kirk
- That's nice spotted, but not everything is a reference though. --DCLM ☎ 15:38, November 8, 2015 (UTC)
- To expand on DCLM's point, if you don't have a valid source stating that the reference is intentional, it doesn't go on the page. In addition, the "References" section on all story pages is for things/people, etc that are mentioned or seen in stories. These references must link to pages on this wiki. "References" does not mean allusions to non-wiki material. Shambala108 ☎ 15:45, November 8, 2015 (UTC)
- An example of obvious reference is the Doctor sky-diving from Boat One with a parachute that has a Union Jack on it, being a reference to James Bond sky-diving in a parachute with a Union Jack on it in "The Spy Who Loved Me" (correct me if the title was wrong). --DCLM ☎ 16:07, November 8, 2015 (UTC)
- But that still wouldn't go in the references section unless James Bond and/or the movie name were mentioned in the story. If the production team claims the reference, then it can be put in the "Story notes" section. Shambala108 ☎ 01:21, November 9, 2015 (UTC)
Invisible watch
I assumed the invisible watch that was mention was a reference to the watch that made one invisible, used by Danny in the last series. But no? 68.195.112.10talk to me 17:18, November 9, 2015 (UTC)
- No, sorry. Not the same. The Doctor said "I once created an invisible watch. You can see the design flaw in that.", meaning it was invisible and unable to find. You think about the Invisibility watch. --DCLM ☎ 17:31, November 9, 2015 (UTC)
