Gagan Rassmussen
Gagan Rassmussen was a scientist in the 38th century. He had invented a project called Morpheus on the Le Verrier space station in which people would lie for five minutes inside a sleep pod and never have to sleep again. The build up of sleep dust formed organisms called Sandmen. Gagan hid inside one of the pods away from the Sandmen. After meeting the Twelfth Doctor and Clara he was killed and then possessed by the sandmen .He then hacked the visual receptors of the Sandmen dust to film the entire events on the space station. He later was shot by Nagata one of the rescue team but since he was part sandman he survived in time to arrange the recordings, narrate them and send them to the solar systems. The recordings contained an electronic signal that could turn people into sandmen fulfilling his plan. At the end of the recording he was shown to have perished as the doctor destroyed the space station. (TV: Sleep No More)
