Ringstrasse
The Ringstraße was a circular street surrounding the historical Old Town of Vienna, Austria.
Most of Vienna's attractions, including the Opera House and the Hofburg Palace were adjacent to the Ringstraße, making it an ideal route for a cab tour.
Newspapers in 1873 described the mysterious brutal murders of Leopold Kraus and Dieter Walman as "eyeless murders on the Ringstraße" because of their missing eyes.
The cab with the Eighth Doctor, Alfred Stahlbaum and Brem driven by Ernst Bratfisch was chased along the Ringstraße by the mechanical cab with Gram and Mary Shelley until the former crashed turning to Hofburg. (AUDIO: The Silver Turk)
