In 1963, a number of things set in or relevant to the Doctor Who universe were released or published.
- 23 November - "An Unearthly Child" debuted on the BBC. It's the first episode of the first story, and the very beginning of Doctor Who.
- 30 November - "An Unearthly Child" was re-broadcast on the BBC, followed by the debut of "The Cave of Skulls".
- 7 December - "The Forest of Fear" debuted on the BBC.
- 14 December - "The Firemaker", the fourth and final episode of An Unearthly Child, debuted on the BBC.
- 21 December - "The Dead Planet", the first episode of The Daleks, debuted on the BBC.
- 28 December - "The Survivors" debuted on the BBC. It's the first full appearance of the Daleks.
