Rufus Stone was a reality television star. He taught some philosophy. He said that the end of the world was nigh. He had gathered a following and said that the nightmares they were having prophesied their death. The Seventh Doctor investigated him. He was like a modern Jesus Christ, healing the sick and feeding the thousands. He managed to turn off the lights of the country and said that Liverpool was the chosen site for the final battle.
