Welcome to the Tardis:About Allonsy potter

Thanks for your edits! We hope you'll keep on editing with us. This is a great time to have joined us, because now you can play the Game of Rassilon with us and win cool stuff! Well, okay, badges. That have no monetary value. And that largely only you can see. But still: they're cool!

We've got a couple of important quirks for a Wikia wiki, so let's get them out of the way first.
British English, please
We generally use British English round these parts, so if you're American, please be sure you set your spell checker to BrEng, and take a gander at our spelling cheat card.
Spoilers aren't cool
We have a strict definition of "spoiler" that you may find a bit unusual. Basically, a spoiler, to us, is anything that comes from a story which has not been released yet. So, even if you've got some info from a BBC press release or official trailer, it basically can't be referenced here. In other words, you gotta wait until the episode has finished its premiere broadcast to start editing about its contents. Please check the spoiler policy for more details.
Other useful stuff
Aside from those two things, we also have some pages that you should probably read when you get a chance, like:

If you're brand new to wiki editing — and we all were, once! —  you probably want to check out these tutorials at Wikipedia, the world's largest wiki:

Remember that you should always sign your comments on talk and vote pages using four tildes like this:

Thanks for becoming a member of the TARDIS crew! If you have any questions, see the Help pages, add a question to one of the Forums or ask on my talk page. Shambala108 15:32, August 7, 2015 (UTC)

Pirate Planet revision[[edit source]]

Here is your revision which I reverted: http://tardis.wikia.com/wiki/The_Pirate_Planet_(TV_story)?oldid=1986052

Are you honestly asking why I reverted it? Just look at it.--Skittles the hog - talk 03:04, December 28, 2015 (UTC)

Just put the image in the line, without [[]] and without file. Just look at the source code for any TV story to find an example. Please don't change the Pirate Planet image for that one again though. It's pretty awful, if you don't mind me saying.--Skittles the hog - talk 03:19, December 28, 2015 (UTC)

Images[[edit source]]

Hi! I had to delete the images you uploaded because they violated our image use policy. Read that page for the full set of image rules. Also, it seems like you are getting your images from elsewhere on the internet. This wiki prefers screenshots direct from the episodes. If you have any questions, feel free to ask on my talk page. Thanks! P&P talk contribs 04:23, December 28, 2015 (UTC)

Images should be from the actual episode, not from Google Images. Screenshots can be taken from the episodes, whether on DVDs or streaming services like iPlayer or Netflix. P&P talk contribs 00:26, December 29, 2015 (UTC)
Episodes on DailyMotion have been uploaded without the permission of the BBC, and this wiki does not endorse illegal streaming. Please make sure that any screenshots you upload comply with all of our image rules. Thanks! P&P talk contribs 02:53, December 29, 2015 (UTC)
YouTube is fine, but again, please make sure anything you upload follows our rules. P&P talk contribs

The license is perfect, but there are quite a few other issues with it:

  • Screenshots should be jpg, not png.
  • The file size should be less than 100 kb. Switching to jpg should help with this, as should making the image a bit smaller. If you're not sure, 600px wide is a good size.
  • The black bars on the side and the channel logo should be cropped out.
  • The file name should be descriptive, not a bunch of numbers.

The cropping and re-sizing can be done with any image editor. If you haven't got one on your computer, there are online image editors like Pixlr that you can use. The quick list of image rules can be found on our image cheat card. Thanks! P&P talk contribs 16:27, December 29, 2015 (UTC)

Re:Doctor Who Review Wiki[[edit source]]

Hi Allonsy, I actually saw your post in the forums about this wiki you created. There's a definite possibility that I'll do a review.
