Reality bomb
THIS is my ultimate victory, Doctor! The destruction of reality itself!
The Reality bomb was a super-weapon created by Davros.
Overview
The weapon made use of the 27 stolen planets transported to the Medusa Cascade, captured by the New Dalek Empire, along with the unique Z-Neutrino-based energy source of the Crucible. This bomb worked by canceling out the electrical field holding atoms together, and is capable of wiping the entire universe and all of creation; all except for those within or near the Crucible. The reality bomb was planned to destroy all other forms of life in every universe - except for that of the Daleks, to make them become the only race in all of existence. (This may be the future foreseen by the Time Lords in Genesis of the Daleks, where they have "destroyed all other life forms and become the dominant creature in the Universe." It is interesting to note that this prophecy convinced the Time Lords to send the Doctor back to Skaro to avert the Dalek's creation. If so, it renders the entire Time War a self-fulfilling prophecy)
The reality bomb resembled a large green hemisphere set into the exterior hull of the Crucible. The hemisphere was contained within a ring of panels which resembled the slats on a Dalek casing. There was a smaller scale version located inside the Crucible which was used for test firing on a group of humans.
The Doctor, and his companions, were successful in preventing the use of the full-size weapon. (DW: Journey's End)
- The manner in which Davros described the weapon's function suggests that, ordinarily, the weapon would have destroyed the mainstream universe, but when used in conjunction with the space-time rift at the very heart of the Medusa Cascade, it was capable of destroying every reality across the multiverse.
