From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference
You are exploring the Discontinuity Index, a place where any details or rumours about unreleased stories are forbidden.
Please discuss only those whole stories which have already been released, and obey our spoiler policy.

This page is for discussing the ways in which The Myth Makers doesn't fit well with other DWU narratives. You can also talk about the plot holes that render its own, internal narrative confusing.

Remember, this is a forum, so civil discussion is encouraged. However, please do not sign your posts. Also, keep all posts about the same continuity error under the same bullet point. You can add a new point by typing:

* This is point one.

... and so on.
  • Would the Doctor really have assisted in the sacking of Troy, even if his life depended on it, when he knew it would lead to the mass slaughter of hundreds of innocent men, women and children? This seems most out of character. I could understand his not acting to prevent it, in the interests of preserving the flow of History, but not actively engineering the destruction of a whole city to take place.
The Doctor doesn't appear to expect the wooden horse to work. He even laughs at the idea when Steven suggested it to him. He probably meant to use it as a stalling tactic while he tries to find a way to the TARDIS. When he realises it is going to work, he's horrified and tries to leave, which would tip the Trojans off. Odysseus has to hold him at sword point to stop him doing so.
