"Aunty Peggy" was a fictional aunt of Gwen Cooper that Owen Harper made up while watching an old film in the Electro, after the owner told his audience that they might see long-dead members of their families. He joked that "she's been on the gin again".
The real woman who he called Aunty Peggy was a early 20th century entertainer in a bathing suit who performed with a hoola-hoop as part of the Night Travellers. (TV: From Out of the Rain)
