Orius Beta VIII was a planet in the Orius Beta system. It was the site of a planetary ambush during the Orion War. Helliton, an Android sympathiser, tampered with intelligence reports so the Androids were able to ambush and totally destroy Earth's Planetary Assault Force, resulting in over 50,000 deaths. In response, Admiral Karen Brett destroys the android forces by orbital nuclear bombardment. Despite the loss of life, Earth considers this battle a tactical victory, as the Android Eighth Fleet was also destroyed around Orius Beta V. (AUDIO: Scorpius)
