A doctor, originally from the Midlands, and now working at the A&E department at St Helen's Hospital in Cardiff. Jack and Ianto encounter him while removing an alien Hitchhiker from within a patient. His interest in Torchwood piqued, and Jack’s in him as well, Rupesh tracks Torchwood down to the Bay and Gwen talks with him at length – Torchwood need a new medical officer after the death of Owen Harper and Rupesh may well fit the bill.
