Hartmann was a reporter for the Daily News.
In 1975, he interviewed Dr Henry Bergson about his research. Before Hartmann could ask too many questions about classified information, he was interrupted by the Seventh Doctor, who claimed to have an appointment with Hartmann to discuss his exhibit of 18th century tartans. (PROSE: Presence)
