Necessary article?[[edit source]]

Unfortunately this article was created by an unregistered user, so we aren't able to ask them what they meant by 'basic mode'. I'm thinking they may be thinking of Siege mode from Flatline. Either way, the article contains no sourced content and uses inappropriate wording for a Wikia article. Maybe we give that person a chance to return before an admin deletes the page? There is actually a basic mode in Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS. The Doctor sets the TARDIS to basic mode for Clara to take over driving it. If the page is cleaned up and turned into a proper article, with the right category/ies, then I won't delete it.

Yeah, you're totally right. I forgot about that. TheFartyDoctor Talk 07:50, December 19, 2016 (UTC)
It's also implied, but I don't think stated, that basic mode disables the shield oscillators, because the Doctor does say he turned them off for Clara to fly. Since the link is not explicitly made, though, it's also entirely possible he shut off the shield oscillators separately afterwards, and we don't see it happening.

Well I've tried my best with it. Feel free to remove anything you think is implied and not stated. It was kind of hard to do in a few seconds but I hate to think of an incomplete article haha. TheFartyDoctor Talk 08:01, December 19, 2016 (UTC)
I'm not sure the time screw-ups had to do with basic mode specifically. More the aftermaths of the engine exploding, because the TARDIS was attacked, because the shields were down, because of basic mode being initiated.

I think so too. I just included it to see whether you wanted it in or not. The article is certainly better than it was haha! TheFartyDoctor Talk 08:04, December 19, 2016 (UTC)
