Freddy was the stage doorkeeper at the Palace Theatre in 1889. When Joseph Buller came to the theatre searching for his wife Emma, Freddy held him back until Henry Gordon Jago and Li H'sen Chang arrived. (TV: The Talons of Weng-Chiang)
