General Reginald Hemmings was covering for Brigadier Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart when he was in Oslo in 1979. He went with the Fourth Doctor and several others as part of the delegation of the Earth to the Luron mothership. He was killed by the radiation from the miniaturized Luron sun.
