The Speaker of an African village met the Seventh Doctor and Ace when they arrived in 3181. The Speaker was the leader of the fifty-three survivors of an attack on Earth by the Huyfbfgriniotites. The survivors were telepathically linked to each other.
Virginia met the Seventh Doctor and Ace when the TARDIS brought them to the settlement. Ace told Virginia all about Christmas, and the survivors expected a visit from Saint Nicholas. (PROSE: Instead of You)
