Flare Guns are signal weapons that when fire release a burning substance into the air. They are primarily used to signal for help. Military uses involve signaling attacks. Barbara Wright shot (and killed) Sandy when she mistakenly thought it was going to attack Vicki. (DW: The Rescue)
