Solex was a captain in the Chancellery Guard. He went through the battles of the war finding corpses for the Technomancer's to resurrect. He found the War Doctor on Vildar thinking him to be dead. (AUDIO: Legion of the Lost) He didn't trust the Doctor after he destroyed the resurrection plan. He tried to help Jarad when he was attacked by a space worm. In the Dalek base he discovered the Dalek mutations in the base. He didn't know that the Daleks came from Kaleds. He died to save the Doctor, and said that they didn't need soldiers for the war anymore. (AUDIO: A Thing of Guile)
