no, we don't have a reference. Google "A Day in the Life" and see how often the phrase comes up and the different contexts. (A Who-related book called A Day in the Life of a Television Producer even came out in the early '80's. --Stardizzy2 20:02, 20 February 2009 (UTC)

Dating discrepancy

So, I see for the "settings" in the infobox, you've put "2009", which is logical since all "modern day" stories in Doctor Who and its spin-offs are a year ahead of their broadcast, however it may not be that simple.

The novel Pack Animals is set, according to your Wiki, in October 2008. I've vigorously flicked through the book myself and it makes clear reference to A Day in The Death being a previous event. Furthermore, at the start of Chapter Six, on page 57, it states "On this freezing Saturday morning in November".

Therefore, the dating for A Day in the Death is wrong. It should be November 2008, as November 2009 is post-Children of Earth. Nowhere before then have I seen "October". I know that most people would stick to the dating protocols but as far as I recall, the actual episode itself mentions nothing about the year in which it's set. Dating in Relation to the Series as a Whole

I noticed that the first seven episodes of series 2 are said to occur in 2008, which is odd considering the usual one-year-ahead thing. This episode is the first of the series to be considered in 2009. Is there an in-story reason the episodes are so marked that I am forgetting, or was this an error?
