Just a question... It mentions in 'References' that "John mentions the Arkanians". Is this refering to the Arcadian Diamond? In which case he is not referencing 'Arkanians' (I asusme you mean Arcateenians) but 'Arcadia'. --HollyM 12:42, 15 April 2009 (UTC)

I have edited the page for this correction, i hope i am correct and not overlooking somehting. --HollyM 12:47, 15 April 2009 (UTC)

No, it's a reference to the Arkan Mouth Trick, when he hid the key in the lining of his mouth. -<Azes13 18:19, 15 April 2009 (UTC)

Ok Thanks alot for reminding me, it's been too long since i've seen that episode! :( Sorry for the oversight. Thanks for the correcting edit. :) --121.79.37.12 14:38, 20 April 2009 (UTC)

RTD's involvement[[edit source]]

Although as showrunner, RTD could be said to have provided "uncredited contributions" to virtually every episode of Torchwood and Doctor Who, I think it's justified to note this with this episode given the revelation in The Writer's Tale that not only was RTD originally commissioned to write it, but that the opening scene was his creation. 23skidoo 14:40, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

Buffy reference?[[edit source]]

Regarding John Hart's noting that the Torchwood team has no blonde, "you need a blonde"...possible reference to Buffy The Vampire Slayer, which James Marsters was also on? Would add it but not sure it'd be appropriate without something from the crew (Chibnall, RTD, etc) saying right out that that was intentional. Artemis Jenner 01:30, May 3, 2011 (UTC)

I think that could well be a reference, and another one would be when he says "Thirsty now" about 6 minutes in. I'm pretty sure doppleganger-Willow said that exact line, with many vampires saying different versions of it. 96.50.29.134talk to me 20:58, May 26, 2013 (UTC)

Uncredited cast[[edit source]]

I've moved the uncredited cast to the talk page until they can be properly sourced (not IMDB). Shambala108 04:42, October 18, 2012 (UTC)

Dating[[edit source]]

How do we know, in-story, that this episode - and in fact the first half of this series - takes place in 2008? And what indicates that from A Day in the Death on it is in 2009? Is there something I'm forgetting? Game-fanatic 02:04, June 7, 2017 (UTC)
