The First Doctor: Volume Two trailer (audio story)
The First Doctor: Volume Two trailer was the trailer to The First Doctor: Volume Two. It incorporated extracts of all four stories in the box set being advertised into a narrative via a framing device featuring the Time Lords during the Last Great Time War. The trailer's narrative especially complements the box set's final story, The Plague of Dreams.
Plot
An unidentified Time Lord gives a status report to his unidentified commander. He said there were numerous incursions targeting the First Doctor's timeline. The commander had warned the High Council that this might happen, and she mentions that there is talk of Arcadia falling and a new front opening at the Last Hour. Together, they listen to snippets of the First Doctor's adventures that were manipulated by the enemy. The Time Lords mended the damage where they could, but they couldn't interfere so close to the First Doctor's regeneration; however, the commander had an idea of something they could still do, noting the Doctor was traveling next to Earth in the Mutter's Spiral during the 16th century.

Notes
- Though they are never named in this story, the enemy invading the Doctor's timeline is clearly the Daleks.
- In Fields of Terror, Across the Darkened City, and The Bonfires of the Vanities, certain lines of dialogue are distorted as the Daleks try to invade the Doctor's timeline. However, the Time Lords fix these attacks.
- In The Plague of Dreams, the Time Lords send the Player, a renegade Time Lord who had been avoiding the Last Great Time War, to convince the Doctor himself to negate the Daleks' final interference by traveling to the South Pole in order to regenerate.
Continuity
- The commander references the Fall of Arcadia. (TV: Doomsday, The Last Day, The Day of the Doctor)

- Similar to this attack, the Daleks also invaded Gallifrey's prehistoric era in an attempt to prevent the Time Lords from evolving. (PROSE: Engines of War)
