Mons was a town in Belgium. The Scottish Regiment were sent to defend Mons from German forces, but the town had been overrun by Weeping Angels. (COMIC: The Weeping Angels of Mons)
Behind the scenes
- The town of Mons has various names in different languages. Mons is the French name, which is pronounced [mɔ̃s].
- Jamie Colquhoun writes in a letter that on 21 August 1914 the United Kingdom only prepares to enter World War I. The Battle of Mons, which in the real world took place two days later, is not depicted in the story, but it was the first major action of the British Expeditionary Force in the war.
