A Brief History of Time Lords was, as its title indicates, a textbook on Time Lord history. It was written by a Gallifreyan who, at the age of seven, witnessed the the Twelfth Doctor emerging from his confession dial, where he had been trapped. The book, which consisted of an introduction and seven chapters, was amended several times, going through at least seven editions. (PROSE: A Brief History of Time Lords)
