Dimensional transporter
Dimensional transporters were metal discs with yellow activation button that allowed a person to, (if the walls of time were down) teleport themselves from universe to universe. They also had the function to teleport great distances and through the Void.
When the Cybus Cybermen, made their way into the Doctor's universe through a crack in the Void, they began a plan to invade our universe and turn the Human race into Cybermen. Mickey Smith had follwed them through, he led the way for others such as Jake Simmonds, Pete Tyler and The Preachers to follow, and help to defeat the Cybermen. This would later become known as the Battle of Canary Wharf. Pete later used a transported to save his daughter from being pulled into the Void. (DW: Army of Ghosts / Doomsday)
Rose travelled from Pete's World to the Doctor's universe during the Dalek Invasion of Earth, hoping to the find the Doctor. Mickey and Jackie, also followed Rose, but they ended up saving Sarah Jane Smith from a squad of Daleks. (DW: The Stolen Earth/ Journey's End)
