Spoilers are strongly policed here.
If this thread's title doesn't specify it's spoilery, don't bring any up.

On other wikias whose topic is a movie or TV show, atricles on episodes have an Appearances section, which lists individuals, locations and other things which appear in that episode to get a better understanding of the episode. I believe that an Appearances section shoulod be used in this wiki, seeing as a list of individuals, species and locations that appear in each episode will not only improve the page, but attract many readers who would like to know that information. In conclusion, I request Appearances sections on episode pages. Bigredrabbit 23:40, September 29, 2009 (UTC)

This is what the references section in the article does. It lists and gives context to the references made within the article. It would be redundant to include such things like the main characters as they are obviously listed in the cast list. The references section already (should) divide things into categories and gives forth information to the reader. --Tangerineduel 06:16, September 30, 2009 (UTC)
However, the References sections are used basically used as Story Notes. I believe that the Appearances must exist. Whether it is under the name References or Appearances, a list of Individuals, Species and Locations is neccesary. The Cast lists do not state every character that appears, merely the ones that talk. The Doctor's TARDIS appears in every episode, yet isn't in the Cast once. Therefore, I believe that the list is neccesary. Bigredrabbit 06:25, October 2, 2009 (UTC)
The TARDIS is not a cast member, the list is not neccesary such as the one you are suggesting, a well balanced, detailed References section is a lot better than a list which by the way does not give information. Take a look at your previous list ideas/edits and then take a look at Planet of the Dead page Bigshowbower 06:54, October 2, 2009 (UTC)
May I also add Bigredrabbit, adding speculation to Martha Jones page about her sexuality, is not very helpful either and could be classed as vandalism Bigshowbower 07:00, October 2, 2009 (UTC)
I will re-iterate, what Bigredrabbit describes is what the references section does! However it is just a more than simply a list it gives more detail and information as Bigshowbower has said. Additionally the references section is not just used on the TV stories but throughout this wiki (see Unnatural History for example). The only reason I can fathom you believing a list is favourable over the references section is the references section takes time to write, it's time consuming thing to write and organise into category headings (with each of the category headings category linked). --Tangerineduel 07:31, October 2, 2009 (UTC)
Ok. Sure. I don't disagree. However, this is the last time I'll request, an Appearances section will just improve it a bit more. References and Appearances can co-exist on one page, and if you think it's right, then Appearances can be part of References. The contents of References can merely be followed by the lists. If you believe this is not a good idea then I am happy to drop the subject completely. Bigredrabbit 04:31, October 3, 2009 (UTC)
I really don't think it's a helpful idea. A list is just that, it doesn't really give any information to the reader. --Tangerineduel 05:31, October 3, 2009 (UTC)
