The Spike was an orthogonal structure located in underspace. Several battles of the War in Heaven referfed to collectively as "the Spike" were fought in the presence of the Spike. The battles began when the Enemy hid the Vault of Heaven near the Spike.
Palatine Goralschai was involved in the final assault of the Spike. Goralschai considered the Spike to be a highlight of his military career and he later recounted parts of the fighting to the childrene of House Meddhoran. (PROSE: Against Nature)
