Saffron was a freed slave from the 1700s.

She was visited by Missy, who offered her a job. She was soon employed as a cook at the Scoundrels Club, where her food became a hit with the club's members. She also suggested the name Missy to the newly regenerated Master, who took the name.

As the Marlowe Banquet went underway, Mandeville relished in the event. When the group went to gather their copy of Dr Faustus II, the group finds that it is gone from its locked lead box, and soon discovers that someone has thrown it into the fire. Suspecting Missy's involvement, they began shouting for her, only to discover that the various members of the club had been paralysed. Soon, Missy entered the club, along with Saffron, and confirmed their part in the drugging. (PROSE: Dismemberment)
