This is a list of the Doctor Who DVD Special Features. The stories are shown be in chronological order.

Mins is the approximate length. 1 can mean below one minute in the case of clips may be just a few seconds.  Media is assumed to be video.  Feature refers to the title. The in box insert feature title can differ from the title seen on screen. Also some features are omitted from the inserts eg Earthshock Episode 5. one feature appears to be missing from a DVD ie Destiny of the Daleks Radio Times Billings PDF. 15		An Earthly Child	Comedy Sketches	A selection of four short sketches, mostly themed around the early years of Doctor Who. From Mark Gatiss (The League of Gentlemen) and David Walliams [Little Britain] come three sketches from the BBC's Doctor Who Night in 1999: The Pitch of Fear, The Web of Caves and The Kidnappers. Meanwhile, The Corridor Sketch offers a glimpse at the how early Doctor Who may have looked with a different actor in the title role.

55		The Edge of Destruction	Doctor Who : Origins	A fascinating 55-minute documentary, detailing the creation of Doctor Who. Looking at the factors that led to the birth of the programme, it includes a rare interview with the programme's creator, the late Sydney Newman, and new interviews with producer Verity Lambert, directors Waris Hussein and Richard Martin, actors William Russell and Carole Ann Ford, title sequence designer Bernard Lodge, and TARDIS sound effect creator Brian Hodgson.

30		The Edge of Destruction	Marco Polo condensed version	A condensed 30-minute version of the fourth ever Doctor Who story, a seven-part historical adventure which saw the TARDIS crew meet Marco Polo and Kubla Khan. Although completely missing from the BBC's archives, a tantalising glimpse of this lost story is given with the use of an off-air recording of the soundtrack, plus off-screen stills and production photographs.

	Slides	The Web Planet	Give-a-Show Slides	A popular toy of the 1960s and 70s was the Chad Valley Give-a-Show Projector, where images from cartoon slides could be projected onto a wall or screen. A set of Doctor Who slides was released in 1965, based on The Web Planet, and are reproduced on this DVD. (With thanks to Colin Young).

2		The Tomb of the Cybermen	Late Night Line-Up	A popular BBC magazine programme from the 1960s, this particular edition [originally screened 25/11/6?) features BBC Visual Effects Designer Jack Kine discussing with Joan Bakewell the department's work on Doctor Who. 28		The Tomb of the Cybermen	Tombwatch	To celebrate the return of The Tomb of the Cybermen to the BBC, the Doctor Who Appreciation Society together with Dominitemporal Services Ltd, arranged for the story to be screened for the first time in nearly 25 years on Sunday 26th April 1992 at BAFTA in London. In attendance were Frazer Mines, Deborah Watling, Shirley Cooklin, Michael Kilgarriff, Peter Bryant and Victor Pemberton, and the highlights of this day are presented on this DVD for the first time.
1		The Tomb of the Cybermen	The Final End'	The Tomb of the Cybermen begins with the TARDIS leaving Skaro, homeworld of the Daleks. Although the last episode of The Evil of the Daleks no longer exists, part of the final climactic battle scene does still survive, in the form of an 8mm cine film shot at Baling Studios. Extracts from this film are presented along with the original programme's soundtrack in order to give some idea of how the Daleks' 'final end' may have appeared...

1		The Seeds of Death	The Last Dalek	BBC designer Tony Cornell was working at Ealing film studios in May 1967, during the filming of the climactic Dalek battle scenes from The Evil of the Daleks - a story which is now missing from the BBC archives. He took an 8mm film camera with him, and made this 10-minute black and white silent film of the day's events. Original effects designers Michealjohn Harris and Peter Day provide a commentary on the action.
1		The Seeds of Death	New Zealand Censor Clips	When Doctor Who was sold to New Zealand in the 1960s, some episodes had small sequences removed before screening, because they were considered too frightening, disturbing or violent. In 2002, a reel of these censored clips was discovered in a private collection by New Zealand fan Graham Howard. It was found to contain material from the missing episodes of The Web of Fear (1968) and The Wheel in Space (1968) which are presented for the first time on this DVD.

1		Inferno	Deleted Scene	When this story was returned to the BBC in colour from Canada in the 1980s, it was discovered to contain a scene that was not included in the UK transmission of the story. The 2-minute scene is included here, and features Jon Pertwee voicing a radio announcer in a rather-too-obvious manner, which was the reason the scene was dropped in the first place.
5		Inferno	Visuals Effects Promo Film	In the early 1970s, the BBC's Visual Effects Department put together a showreel of their various contributions to programmes such as Doctor Who, Marty Amok, The Caves of Steel and Doomwatch amongst others.
