Although completely missing from the BBC's archives, a tantalising glimpse of this lost story is given with the use of an off-air recording of the soundtrack, plus off-screen stills and production photographs.

1 The Seeds of Death The Last Dalek BBC designer Tony Cornell was working at Ealing film studios in May 1967, during the filming of the climactic Dalek battle scenes from The Evil of the Daleks - a story which is now missing from the BBC archives. He took an 8mm film camera with him, and made this 10-minute black and white silent film of the day's events. Original effects designers Michealjohn Harris and Peter Day provide a commentary on the action.
1 The Seeds of Death New Zealand Censor Clips When Doctor Who was sold to New Zealand in the 1960s, some episodes had small sequences removed before screening, because they were considered too frightening, disturbing or violent. In 2002, a reel of these censored clips was discovered in a private collection by New Zealand fan Graham Howard. It was found to contain material from the missing episodes of The Web of Fear (1968) and The Wheel in Space (1968) which are presented for the first time on this DVD.

20 The Three Doctors Patrick Troughton Interview Shortly after The Three Doctors was transmitted, Patrick Troughton appeared on the BBC's lunchtime magazine programme Pebble Mill at One, and gave a rare interview about his time as the Doctor. Also featured in this segment is a demonstration by Bernard Wilkie of the BBC Visual Effects department, and a selection of monsters from the programme - including the Gell Guards.
29 The Three Doctors Jon Pertwee at Panopticon Jon Pertwee and Katy Manning take to the stage at the lavish 1993 Panopticon convention staged by Dominitemporal Services Ltd to celebrate thirty years of Doctor Who. Highlights from this panel are exclusively included on this disc for the first time.
13 The Three Doctors Blue Peter The long-running BBC children's programme Blue Peter celebrated the tenth anniversary of Doctor Who on 5th November, 1973. This look back at the history of the programme features the only surviving clip of the Doctor's first regeneration from William Hartnell to Patrick Troughton in The Tenth Planet Episode 4 - an instalment now missing from the BBC archives.
10 The Three Doctors BSB Highlights On September 22nd and 23rd 1990, satellite TV company BSB devoted a whole weekend to Doctor Who. The Three Doctors was screened, alongside interviews with Terrance Dicks (script editor), Nicholas Courtney (The Brigadier) and Bob Baker and Dave Martin (writers) discussing their contributions to the story.

1 Carnival of Monsters Behind the Scenes - 'Looking In' Looking In was originally broadcast on 7th November 1972 as part of the BBC's 50th anniversary celebrations. The programme contained a section looking at the making of Carnival of Monsters, and this segment is included on this DVD.
4 Carnival of Monsters Model Sequences The original 16mm visual effects test film sequences for this story are included, showing the Drashig puppets and model spacecraft.

1 Carnival of Monsters Alternative Theme Music For the programme's tenth anniversary, a new version of the theme music was composed by the BBC's Radiophonic Workshop for use with the existing title sequence. Although it was eventually decided not to use this music for broadcast, the early versions of Episode Two of Carnival of Monsters did have the music added. Included are the full opening and closing credits of that early version of the episode.
