A war zone was a point in space-time in which a war or an armed conflict was occurring.
Each of the eleven war zones in the War Game represented a different Earth conflict. Among them were the Greek zone, the Roman Zone, the Thirty Years' War zone, the English Civil War zone, the Peninsular War zone, the American Civil War zone, the Mexican Civil War zone, the Crimean Warzone, the Boer War zone, the Russo-Japanese War zone and the 1917 zone, referring to the World War I conflict.
