Desi Arnaz, or "that Desi", was associated with the television company Desilu. According to Bill, a television writer, "[you] gotta love the guy." The name Desilu brought a warm smile to Bill's face. (PROSE: Mordieu)
Behind the scenes
Technically, Bill does not name him as Desi Arnaz, but it's made perfectly clear who he's talking about. Desi Arnaz co-founded Desilu Productions with his then-wife, Lucille Ball, and the two co-starred in their own production, I Love Lucy.
