GADGET was a robot and member of the Bowie Base One crew. He was used to help get the TARDIS back to the Doctor while inside Bowie Base One. (DW : The Waters of Mars)
He also saves the doctor in the same episode, by acting as transportation, tardis operator, and general Mr.Helpfull, also weilding a gun at one point.
He may become the new K-9
