Dr Tarak Ital M.D., a Pakistani astronaut, was a member of the crew of Bowie Base One. He was suprised when the doctor came to the base as there was no other way of getting there. He assisted the doctor and his captain Adelaide Brooke after one other member Andy Stone got infected by The Flood. He found Andy in a bio domb and was infected with the Flood. He then went and infected four other members of the crew. He was killed when Adelaide set the base on self destruct. (DW: The Waters of Mars)
