The Parallel universe was an alternate universe that featured an alternate version of the Doctor and also featured events that were different to the main universe. He had an equivalent version of his grandaughter Susan but also had two grandchildren. (AUDIO: Auld Mortality)

The dimension was the setting of the Doctor Who unbound universe, and is subsequently outisde of the canon version of Doctor Who.
