Mr Beamish was the agent assigned as contact for Torchwood's Los Angeles branch.
Beamish was responsible for recruiting Marlow Sweet, Charlotte Du Bujeau, and Gabriella Martinez to Torchwood Los Angeles. He was also their supervisor, giving them assignments by speakerphone and following up with them on their investigations, providing intel when possible.
He attempted to contact Torchwood Los Angeles after the death of Charlotte; however, Marlow refused to take his call, telling Valerie Fox, "we don't answer to that anymore." (AUDIO: The Dollhouse)
