The G3 Military Assessment Survey was a unit in the Sontaran military, apparently responsible for threat assessment of possible targets. In 16087, one of their officers, Field Major Styre, lured a group of soldiers from GalSec to an abandoned Earth in order to assess humanity's military skills in case the Sontarans decided to invade.
