Ian Sharkchum
Cap'n Ian Sharkchum was an avatar within the virtual world of Second Reality.
Sharkchum appeared as a stereotypical pirate, complete with pirate hat. He would exclaim "Ahoy, matey!" as a greeting.
After Glendower Broadsword stole a horse from the Coldstream Guards, Cap'n Sharkchum leapt out of some trees in a London park and tried to unseat her. She managed to shake Sharkchum off. When the Cap'n tried the same thing on two further occasions, Owen Harper - playing as Glendower, got bored and moved on.
Toshiko Sato set up a projected 3D rendering of Second Reality in the Rest and Recreation room of the Torchwood Hub. She used the scenario of Cap'n Ian Sharkchum and Walter Pendulum playing pinball to demonstrate the VR space. (PROSE: Another Life)
