Mikhail Bulgakov

Mikhail Bulgakov was a Russian writer during the Soviet period. The Doctor at some point in one of his first three incarnations met Bulgakov, who based the character of the Devil in his novel The Master and Margarita on him. (PROSE: Interference - Book One)
