Santa Mira was an American town to which the Seventh Doctor once alluded in a phone conversation with Allen Dulles. The Doctor suggested that he'd helped out with some problems in the town in an unspecified past incarnation, but did not elaborate what those problems were. (PROSE: First Frontier)

Santa Mira is the fictional Californian town featured in the 1956 film Invasion of the Body Snatchers, where the pod people duplicate and replace each of the town's residents during the night.
