Davenport (The Unicorn and the Wasp)

Davenport was one of the servants at the home of Lady Clemency Eddison in 1926. He had, had an affair with Lady Eddison's son Roger Curbishley, which by the time of the arrival of the Doctor was clearly well developed with both men sneaking away for secret rendevous togethers. Whether their relationship was sexual is unclear but it was clearly affectionate with the 2 of them evidently spending whatever time they could together. Davenport was able to mix drinks in Roger's favourite style. He was the first of the party to realise that Roger had been killed and expressed despair at this. Donna later expressed her sadness that because of the attitudes of the time, Davenport could not even publicly mourn his lovers death. (DW: The Unicorn and the Wasp)
