Inverness prison was in the Scottish city of Inverness.

Solicitor Grey, the Royal Commissioner of Prisons, was imprisoned there after his involvement in the illegal slave trade was discovered in the aftermath of the Battle of Culloden on 16 April 1746. (TV: The Highlanders)
