According to one account, The Origin of the Tenth Galaxy was a book which was read by the Fourth Doctor. It was written by a Time Lord historian, a particularly "pompous" one in the Doctor's view, and so he got certain pleasure from picking out the book's many errors. For example, the life form Magla was mistaken for a planet. (PROSE: Doctor Who and the Destiny of the Daleks)
