This is about the actual Book of the Still, if you are looking for the Eighth Doctor Adventure book see, The Book of the Still (novel).

The Book of the Still is a 'life line' for time travellers who have gotten stuck without their time convieance.

How it Works

To use the book all they must do is write their name and a description of where and when they are, then wait, in the Future someone reads their entry and travels back in time and rescues them.

There are two terms that refer to the Book of the Still, Finders and Seekers.

Seekers are time travellers who need rescuing.

While Finders refers to beings which rescue the stranded time travellers.

However, at some point The Book of the Still was removed from temporal circulation and placed within the Museum of Locks on the planet Lebenswelt.

What The Book of the Still is made of

The Book of the Still is made from ssper strong taffeta, which is constructed by running a thread of the Universe's substratum through the taffeta creating something which is one part taffeta and nine parts baseline reality.

It is about 100 pages long bound in cracked grey leather with gold leaf words etched into the cover.
