Jackson Leaves was a big detached house in Penylan.
The last owner of the house, an old woman, was carried out of the front door by an ambulance crew.
By 2009, the house was uninhabited and past its best. The hedge was overgrown and the gravelled forecourt peppered with weeds, dandelions and thistles. There were cobwebs across the wooden eaves and the windows were covered in dirt.
Danny Wilkinson passed the house and accidentally kicked a pebble through the front, downstairs window. He died when he was dragged into the pavement while walking towards Roath Park. (PROSE: The House That Jack Built)
