There are people on the wiki attempting to make The End of Time take place in 2009, but the results are deadly. As we know, the Whoniverse is a year ahead of us, but some won't accept it, so let's see what happens to poor 2009 when you put The End of Time in it...
Timeline with the End of Time in 2009:
Rose (2005) - Year Skip - DR. WHO series 1 (2006) - The Christmas Invasion (End of 2006) - DR series 2, first half of Torchwood series 1 (2007) - The Runaway Bride (End of 2007) - second half of Torchwood series 1 (early 2008) - the Saxon era (April/May 2008) - SJA series 1 (summer 2008) - Voyage of the Damned (End of 2008) - Torchwood series 2 (January-Febuary-March-April 2009), series 4 DR. Who (April-late May 2009), Planet of the Dead (2009, Since when was Easter in June?), SJA series 2 (July and Auguest 2009), Children of Earth (September 2009), SJA series 3 (October and November 2009), The End of Time (December 2009).
How can all Torchwood series 2, Children of Earth, SJA series 2 and 3, and two Doctor Who specials all fit in 2009? That's how the timeline looks when you out The End of Time in 2009. And since when is Easter in late May or June?
We know for a fact that the Dalek invasion in late May 2009, reference by Planet of the Dead, which takes place on April 12th, making it take place the following year: 2010. No one has a problme with that. Because of that, it makes SJA series 3 take place in 2010. Because of both of them taking place in 2010, they make The End of Time take place in 2010. People have a problem with that.
So they place The End of Time before Planet of the Dead and SJA series 3, and then they calm down. They fail to notice how the recsission ended in End in The End of Time, but it still happening in Planet of the Dead, Naismith was arrested in The End of Time, but he is in business in Planet of the Dead, Luke met the Doctor in person for the first time in SJA series 3, but met him in person for a second time in The End of Time.
If you stop ignoring the fact that the Doctor Who universe is a year ahead of us, you get this:

If you place The End of Time in 2009, you can only make it work by doing the following: Placing Easter in early June of 2009, allowing SJA series 2, Children of Earth, SJA series 3, The End of Time (like that chronologically).
For an alternate: Torchwood series 2 - DR. WHO series 4 - Planet of the Dead (in bloody June...) - SJA series 2 - Children of Earth - SJA series 3 - The End of Time (chronologically).
Because you can't put the year back, you have to shove several series into 1 year and move Easter to June to allow to take place after the Dalek invaion and in the same year, which would stop it, SJA series 3 and The End of Time being in 2010.
If you can't bare putting Easter in June, then get over it and stop finding obsurd ways of placing The End of Time in 2009. But the big question is- why are all of you suddenly so crazed over it being in syn with us? No one has ever had a problem with the year ahead thing until now -but WHY?
